Welcome to Countivo ("we," "our," or "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains how Countivo handles information when you use our Android mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Countivo is designed as a fully offline, privacy-first application — no personal data is ever collected, transmitted, or stored on external servers.

Countivo does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. We do not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data of any kind
• Contact information from your device
• Photos, camera, or microphone data
• Device identifiers for tracking or advertising
• Analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics sent to third parties
• Any data that leaves your device

All data you create within Countivo — including countdown events, titles, dates, notes, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (Hive database). This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server or third party.

Countivo uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming events. These notifications are scheduled and processed entirely on your device using Android's built-in notification system. No notification data is sent to external servers, push notification services, or third parties. You can disable notifications at any time in the app Settings or your device's notification settings.

Countivo requests only the following permissions, each with a clear purpose:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To display local event reminder notifications on your device
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — To restore scheduled reminders after your device restarts
• USE_EXACT_ALARM / SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — To deliver countdown reminders at the precise scheduled time
• VIBRATE — To vibrate the device when a notification is delivered

Countivo does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or data collection platforms. The app operates completely offline and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar services.

Countivo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete and exclusive control over it:

• You can view all your data within the app at any time
• You can delete individual countdowns using the delete button
• You can clear all data from Settings → Clear All Countdowns
• Uninstalling the app removes all data permanently from your device

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms including device encryption and screen lock. Since Countivo stores data locally and never transmits it over a network, the risk of data breach through our application is effectively eliminated. We do not store passwords, financial information, or other sensitive personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be reflected in the app through version updates on the Google Play Store. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of the app after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
